Sprunkybox is a Halloween-themed music game where players can make their own tracks using monster characters designed to look like they’re made of felt plush toys. Each character has a different sound, rhythm and dance move. You can also mix drum beats, bass lines, melodies and vocals and creepy sound effects to create your own musical compositions.
In Sprunkybox, simply drag character icons from the panel below and drop them onto the stage. Each character will begin performing their own audio loop. You can have up to seven characters on stage at once, so you have a lot of different combinations.
You can also mute individual characters, isolate their specific sounds or remove them from the stage altogether. These tools help you easily refine your mix. Since all the sounds are designed to harmonize with one another, you can experiment freely without needing any advanced musical knowledge.
Sprunkybox includes 19 hidden tracks that can be unlocked by combining specific sets of two, three, or four characters. There is also a special combo that utilizes all seven slots on the stage. Badges displayed above the characters track your discovery progress. If you get stuck, look for question marks, audio cues or character silhouettes to help you identify which member is missing.
The game is split into two different phases with different atmospheres. It begins on a Halloween nite with a purple tinge, both cute and mysterious. You enter Phase 2 when you place the “Black?” character on the stage. Phase 2 includes a darker tone with thunder, lightning, glowing red eyes and shadowy figures. In this mode, the characters also feature entirely new sounds.
The Music Book keeps track of the songs you’ve unlocked, allowing you to monitor your progress. You can toggle between light and dark modes. In the background, drifting clouds, twinkling stars, and shooting stars create the feeling of playing within a Halloween-themed storybook.
