Sprunki Garnold’s Joy Phase 3 continues the expansion of one of the darkest and most chaotic narratives in the Sprunki modding community. Garnold has become the epicentre of a catastrophe after the stunning events of the last installments, with many recognisable faces appearing mutilated, badly battered, or simply reflections of their former selves.
The game establishes a dark mood from the very first seconds with its unsettling character designs. Many Sprunki we know are now marked with strange happenings around Garnold. Each character is not only a sound, but a puzzle piece that tells the story that is slowly drawing to a close.
Players choose characters and place them on stage to trigger distinctive sounds. Each character will have a different role, such as drum beat, music, effects or voice.
The third phase is notable for its detailed sound design. From distorted sounds and electronic noises to horrifying effects, anything can be mixed to create a unique musical experience.
In addition to the popular Orin, Ratty, Clucker, Funbot and Grey, the game also adds several new OCs (Original Characters) that have unique appearances and sound effects. This provides players more freedom to experiment with innovative setups.
One of the most remarkable things about Garnold’s Joy Phase 3 is the way the tale is told through the character design. Many of the Sprunki seem to be in a disastrous situation, which means significant events happened before.
Orin seems to be torn apart by Garnold’s strength. Grey is still moving with his badly injured body. Derple becomes nothing but a spirit. Many other people meet similar horrible endings, including Simon. These little clues keep gamers guessing all the time about what really happened and what’s going to happen in the following parts.
This particular version has a very striking new rendition of Garnold, with massive wings, very obvious control strings and a lot more powerful look than earlier stages. This indicates that the tale is headed for a whole new level of mayhem.
