Attack Sprunki is a sandbox version of kick-the-buddy gameplay where you no longer stand back and observe or play music but directly interact with each character in a… rather direct way. From the very first seconds, the game shows the familiar chaos: characters can be attacked and then casually eat burgers as if nothing happened. All of this creates a strange experience, half humorous, half unpredictable.

When you start, you are placed on a screen containing almost the entire cast of Sprunki characters. Each has their own HP, usually 100, but sometimes there are exceptions. You can drag and drop them around the screen, observe their reactions, and begin experimenting.
The gameplay is very direct: you tap on the character to affect them or drag items onto them. These items play a central role in the experience. Burgers provide healing and almost every character enjoys eating them, creating some rather funny moments. The ball can be used for play, but not everyone reacts to it. Meanwhile, the hammer deals continuous damage if held, and the knife is a quick-kill tool, often eliminating characters almost instantly.
The interesting thing is that each character reacts differently. Some are almost immune to certain types of damage, like Tree, who is almost unaffected by the hammer, forcing you to find other ways. Some characters have their own defense mechanisms, such as helmets or objects that reduce damage. Robots like Funbot can still eat burgers in a seemingly absurd way, but it's perfectly logical in this world. Especially noteworthy are instances like Wenda being able to counterattack, leaving you completely out of control.
The game doesn't have specific objectives. You can experiment constantly, combine multiple items at once, or reset your character to start over. It feels like playing with a quirky toy box, where each experiment unlocks a new reaction.
Attack Sprunki's highlight lies in its simplicity yet effectiveness. The game brings together a full cast of familiar characters, allowing you to interact directly in many different ways. Each character has their own personality through reactions and mechanics, preventing repetitive experimentation. Small details like eating burgers, changing expressions, or items that can block damage make the experience more lively, despite the simple gameplay.
Attack Sprunki doesn't try to tell a story or guide you towards a specific goal. It's more like an experimental space where you freely do things with familiar characters and see what happens. Sometimes it's quite funny, sometimes a little over the top, and sometimes it's surprising because of small details you wouldn't expect. But it is precisely that freedom that makes you keep trying again, just to see how the next reaction will be different.
