Sprunki Melody Attack is a Sprunki mod that bases its experience on two elements: music generation and a stressful environment. This mod provides a universe where each character is in their own condition of alive and infected to near death. These modifications help give them a better look and also make the mix feel fuller overall.
Gameplay is still based on the tried-and-true Sprunki: drag and drop characters to build a multi-layered musical soundtrack. That said, Melody Attack has a ton of unique visual effects and animations added for each character.
Not only the music is changed, but many characters appear in different situations such as infected, dead or dying. These features don’t impact the mechanics of gameplay, but they do make experimenting with each character a bit more interesting, as each new addition to the mix has a special motion or expression.
Some characters have surprising impacts. Some characters even have a surprising screen presence, giving players a constant sense of discovery. It offers players a continuous feeling that there’s always something fresh to uncover.
A special aspect is that the sounds are made to blend together easily. The resulting mixes can be very dramatic and emotionally rich, with several layers of guitar, synth, percussion and melody. Changing each character one at a time is often not as effective as trying alternative combinations.
Melody Attack also has a Gallery with lots of illustrations, memes and behind the scenes pictures about the characters. It’s not just a book of artwork; there’s lots of little details and easter eggs for those that like to dig around.
Sprunki Melody Attack doesn't aim to reinvent Spruki's well known formula but expands it by putting a lot of effort in animation, character expressions and hidden events. If you already know the musical gameplay of the Sprunki mod series, these minor details make it fun to check out each character.
