Sprunki Multiverse of Evil 2.5 is a game in the familiar genre of the Sprunki mod series: you choose your character, combine sounds, and create your own mix. But after just a few minutes of gameplay, you'll realize… things aren't as stable as before.
The game opens with an ambitious cutscene. Jeban – the central character – is no longer himself. He begins traveling through different universes, bringing along different versions of familiar characters. Each shift is like a Thanos snap, erasing the boundaries between realities.
Luna, Garnold, Winda… they all appear, but none resemble the versions you once knew. Some are manipulated, some are transformed, and some seem to have completely lost control. The idea of bringing together versions from multiple universes creates a sense of deliberate chaos, as if everything is slowly slipping off track.
After the opening sequence, the game takes you into a lab-like space. Here, the characters are upgraded – but not in the usual way.
Ratty is given a knife. Gray becomes more dangerous. UC Cat even receives a more deadly weapon than all the others. These upgrades not only change their appearance but also give each character a distinctly menacing energy.
The feeling now is no longer simply about creating music. It's like you're activating a formation… and waiting to see who will lose control first.
The mod's strongest point remains the sound, but this time it has a completely different feel. The beats are still catchy, but something is more distorted and heavy. When you assemble the full team, the music produced is not only beautiful but also unsettling, as if each sound is telling its own story.
Character design also follows this direction: Gray's distorted smile, Mr. Tree's lifeless eyes, or bizarre details like misplaced teeth and deformed bodies… all contribute to pushing the atmosphere further beyond the safe zone.
Sprunki Multiverse of Evil 2.5 is not just a content upgrade mod, but also shows clear progress from its creator. From cutscenes and character design to sound, everything has been meticulously crafted in a short amount of time.
