Sprunki Phase 6 Out The Box is a horror-themed Sprunki mod featuring numerous new character designs. Currently in Early Access, this version places a strong emphasis on visuals, animations, and audio. Compared to previous phases, Phase 6 feels more expansive and detailed. The characters appear transformed, infected, or afflicted by bizarre conditions.
The story begins with Jevan and Gray struggling to survive in a world where oxygen is critically scarce. Gray is unable to breathe, and the pair must find a safe haven.
They discover a shelter hidden behind some rocks. Inside, they find gas canisters and breathing apparatuses. Gray worries the gas might be toxic, but Jevan realizes that since the outside world lacks oxygen, these devices could provide exactly what they need. Jevan checks a canister first; upon confirming it contains oxygen, they both use the masks and continue their journey. From there, the story expands into more dangerous areas, and other Sprunki characters begin to appear.
The core gameplay revolves around combining characters to compose a track. Each character contributes a unique sound, allowing players to experiment with various combinations to create different musical segments. The audio in Phase 6 boasts a distinctive style; many sounds are dark and intense, perfectly complementing the characters' horror-inspired designs.
A standout feature of the mod is the dramatic redesign of the characters. Orange appears with multiple eyes and teeth visible within its body. Funbot is reduced to just a fragment of a chip on its head. Gray wears an oxygen mask to survive the air-deprived environment. Jebvin wields an axe, giving the impression of a character ready for combat. Sky’s body is glitchy and distorted. Dural is massive, featuring a terrifying design. Simon has a multitude of teeth and exposed internal anatomy. Other characters also show signs of infection, injury, or mutation.
Sprunki Phase 6 Out The Box places a strong emphasis on animation. The detailed opening cutscene makes the story easier to follow. Character movements combine with new audio to evoke the atmosphere of a horror movie scene.
The mod is still under development, so players can look forward to additional characters, sounds, and content in future updates.
