Sprunki Ketchup immerses players in a creepier realm than its predecessor, elevating music composition, game builds a short story around a seemingly harmless Ketchup Party. The party quickly turns into chaos after Black appears, initiating a Sprunki version where almost the entire cast of characters becomes victims of this plan. Instead of just discovering new sounds, players also follow the pieces of the event through each character on screen.
Ketchup adds dialogue and sound effects to tell the story of the party. Some characters utter short phrases or react when selected, which reveals more context about the mod during the mix creation process.
The music layers retain Sprunki's familiar loop style but are mixed with more distorted sounds, electronic noises, and short vocals to create a sense of instability. This feature allows the music to change noticeably as characters related to the event are added.
The entire interface is built around the "ketchup" theme, with red appearing throughout from the characters to the background. Most Sprunki bear wounds or disfigurements related to the incident, while Black and some new characters become the central focus of the story.
