Sprunki Mystery Game is an investigative game inspired by the world of Sprunki. Players take turns exploring incidents involving the characters. Each case features a victim and a group of suspects, and the goal is to identify the culprit.
Each level begins with a different incident. Orin suffers an eye injury and loses his headphones; Ratty is beaten until he cannot move; Clucker has his head and hi-hat crushed; and Funbot malfunctions after water gets into his system.
Players review character testimonies to find clues. There are typically three to four suspects per case, each offering their own account. Some statements might make you suspicious of one character, only to shift your suspicion to another.
After reviewing the testimonies, players select the person they believe is the culprit. Making the correct choice unlocks the next case. Since the cases unfold quickly, the core of the game lies in reading the information and spotting suspicious details.
Beyond the mystery cases, the game offers various other activities involving the Sprunki characters. Players can care for a cat-like creature—feeding it fish, petting it, and putting it to sleep. Some characters even have their own unique mini-games.
There is a Flappy Bird-style mini-game featuring Simon, where players control the character and must tap the blue square at the end of the level. The game also includes an area where characters can be combined to create various scenarios.
For instance, two characters might meet, fall in love, develop a rivalry, or attack one another. Some combinations trigger surprising animations.
The game also features dialogue and short scenes involving the characters. Some details provide background on their appearances; for example, Gray was originally white before being struck by lightning. Subsequently, this character appears in the gray form seen today.
Thus, the Sprunki Mystery Game is not solely about identifying the culprit. It combines short mystery cases with mini-games, cutscenes, and interactive activities featuring the cast of Sprunki characters.
